Class photo:
Seniors will gather on the steps of the Hult Center at 6:00 p.m. on the evening of graduation for a class photograph. You may create your own visual records by taking photographs, with or without flash, and you may videotape the ceremony.

Eugene IHS Graduation Announcement Inserts to insert and mail along with the host school graduation announcements are available at no cost in the Eugene IHS offices.

Eugene IHS Graduation Ticket Distribution: Tickets will be available in Eugene IHS offices beginning May 16. There will be no charge for graduation tickets, limit 6 tickets per senior May 16-31. After May 31 tickets available until we run out.  All tickets are general seating.  All audience members need a ticket. Eugene IHS offices will be closed in the afternoon on June 10th due to preparation and set-up for graduation so make sure you get your graduation tickets before the day of graduation.

MANDATORY Eugene IHS Graduation Rehearsal, Monday, June 6th: MANDATORY graduation rehearsal for for ALL SENIORS: Monday, June 6th, 8:30-noon. On the morning of Monday, June 6, seniors will gather at the Sheldon High School football field for their graduation rehearsal.  We will use this time to recognize their achievements and celebrate their individual successes. Lunch will be provided.  Seniors are to arrive in their 1st period IHS class at 8:30am (room J13 for Churchill seniors). Buses will be provided for students traveling from South Eugene and Churchill to Sheldon High School. Students must ride the bus as there is no parking available at Sheldon. Students will be excused from classes during period 1,2,3, and will need to attend periods 4 and 5.

Eugene IHS Graduation Tech Rehearsal, Friday, June 10th, 3:00pm: All student performers/speakers must come to back stage of the Hult Center at 3:00pm on Friday, June 10 for a sound check. Sound check will end by 4:30.

Eugene IHS Graduation Ceremony – Friday, June 10, 2022, 7:00pm, Hult Center for the Performing Arts:
Students arrive at 6:00pm for a group photo outside on the steps between the Hult Center and the Graduate Hotel. At 6:30pm students will walk from the class photo to the backstage entrance to take your place on stage for the graduation ceremony.
Doors open at 6:15 for seating for general seating. Audience members will not be able to save blocks of seats.
• Parking in the Hult Center parking garage is $6.
• Make sure you have your graduation tickets in advance because tickets will not be available at the door.
• Eugene IHS offices will be closed in the afternoon on June 10 due to preparation and set-up for graduation.
• If anyone in your party needs ADA accessible seating or special assistance entering the theater for seating, please contact Eugene IHS Secretary Rebecca Critchett (541-790-5225) so she can make arrangements.
• Interpretation services will be available in Spanish as well as ASL. For Spanish translation you will need a cell phone and headphones to hear the translation. Please contact Eugene IHS Secretary Rebecca Critchett (541-790-5225) if you need either of these services or have questions.
• Student Attire: students should dress nicely as they would for a nice restaurant or event. We encourage students to wear their IB stoles and any other honor cords they’ve received if they would like to.
• You may take your own photos (without the flash) or videos.

Live-Stream/Recording: The Eugene IHS Graduation will be live-streamed for family and friends to access remotely during the ceremony.  Also, a recording will be available within a week from each graduation to watch at a later date.

Spanish Interpretation:  For families who attend in-person and desire Spanish interpretation the ceremony will be live-streamed through Zoom using Go Global.  You will need your own wifi device and a comfortable set of headphones. There is Eugene Public Wifi available at the Hult Center and no password is necessary. Spanish is the only language we are able to interpret for at this event.

Eugene IHS Diploma:  To earn the honorary Eugene International High School diploma, students must complete grades eleven and twelve in Eugene IHS with passing grades, complete three years of world language study, complete the CAS requirements (Creativity, Activity, Service), and satisfy requirements for high school graduation.  If a student has not fulfilled requirements for the Eugene IHS Diploma at the time of our graduation ceremony their diploma will not be in their cover on graduation night. If there is a mistake or a delay in record keeping please contact the Eugene IHS secretary on your campus as soon as possible after graduation night to get the records cleared and to pick up your diploma.

Eugene IHS Virtual Graduation Ceremony – Thursday, June 10, 2021, 8:00pm
You are invited to gather around your TV, computer, phone or other streaming device to watch the virtual Eugene IHS Graduation Ceremony celebrating the Class of 2021. You can watch the ceremony whenever you want. The link will be available for several months as well. Please feel free to share this link with family and friends. The ceremony will include speakers and performers and highlight each individual student. The site will also have a link to a .pdf of the program that you can print or view on your device or you can click here to view the program.

Eugene IHS In-Person Graduation Ceremony – Friday, June 11, 2021, 6:30pm

This event will be live-streamed for family members who want to watch from home. The live-stream will be free and the link can be shared with family and friends and will be available for viewing after the event.

Timeline of events on Friday, June 11th:
– Noon to 1:00pm – Senior Graduation Rehearsal (MANDATORY)
– 1:00-2:00pm – Performance rehearsal for student speakers/performers
– 5:30pm – All graduates arrive at the Sheldon Football Stadium and line up behind the bleachers
– 6:00pm – Gates open for general seating for families
– 6:30pm – Eugene IHS Graduation Ceremony celebrating the Class of 2021!

Ticket Distribution Families are allowed a maximum of 4 tickets. No exceptions!  We have extremely limited seating and want every student to have family members able to attend. Tickets will be available at the MANDATORY graduation rehearsal on June 11th from noon to 1:00.  If a student cannot attend the rehearsal please contact the Eugene IHS office in advance to make arrangements for ticket pick-up. Tickets will not be available at the door and the Eugene IHS offices will be closed all day on Friday, June 11th.  There are a max of 4 tickets per family only. Extra tickets that are not claimed will NOT be available for redistribution.

General Seating: Gates open at 6:00pm. Seating will be socially distanced in folding chairs on the turf football field facing the stands where the graduates will be seated. The stage will be on the field below the stands.  Masks are suggested for everyone who is not vaccinated, but not required.  We will have a section available for handicapped seating on the turf field. If you would like to sit in this section please contact one of our campuses and let us know.

Parking is limited.  The Sheldon High School parking lot is for families only.  There is also additional parking in the neighborhood behind Sheldon off of Jeppesen Acres. The Sheldon Community Center parking lot is designated for handicapped parking only. Do not park in the Market of Choice/Bi-Mart parking lot or you may be towed.  Family carpooling or alternative transportation is encouraged.

All graduates driving themselves must park in the Monroe Middle School parking lot at 2800 Bailey Lane.  We will provide a shuttle bus for our graduates which will run every 10 minutes from 5:00-5:30pm and drop students off in the Sheldon Community Center parking lot.  Students can ride the shuttle or walk from Monroe if they choose to.  We will also provide a shuttle bus after the ceremony which will pick them up in the Sheldon Community Center parking lot to take them back to their cars.

Students can park in the Sheldon parking lot for the rehearsal during the daytime.  They should not park in the community center during the rehearsal.  They may get towed.

Student Attire:  Students should dress nicely as they would for a nice restaurant or event. Students will be sitting on the metal bleachers and will be walking up and down the metal stairs and standing in line so please wear flat comfortable shoes. We encourage students to wear their IB stoles and any other honor cords they’ve received if they would like to.

HOW TO ENROLL:  Any student can enroll. They must go through the online 4J School Choice Lottery, regardless of attendance areawww.4j.lane.edu/choice.

IMPORTANT DATES
for the 2023-2024 School Year:
January 1…… Online application period for 4J School Choice Lottery opens for in-district students
January 31… Deadline to submit in-district 4J School Choice Lottery Applications
March 1…….. Online application period for 4J School Choice Lottery opens for out-of-district students
March 31….. Deadline to submit out-of-district 4J School Choice Lottery Applications
Any time after May 1 students can still apply through the online 4j School Choice Lottery and may be accepted as space becomes available.

Spanish and French Immersion students will be enrolled in Eugene IHS without the lottery process because they entered their immersion program through the lottery in elementary or middle school. However, they do need to submit the Eugene IHS Enrollment Form to the Eugene IHS office at South or Sheldon by the January 31st deadline. This form will be included in a special mailing to Spanish and French immersion families.

Ways to Donate to Eugene International High School:

Our educational needs are consistently under-funded. We are experiencing increasing difficulties in keeping up the rich curriculum that makes Eugene International High School such a successful global learning experience. Your financial support can help us continue to provide the kind of education we have been dedicated to for over 34 years. We are experiencing increasing difficulties in keeping up the rich curriculum that makes Eugene International High School such a successful global learning experience. We have several funding needs at this time that include, but are not limited to: updated projectors for daily classroom use, classroom chairs, student computers, and other daily essentials. Your donation to Eugene IHS would help us fulfill our needs and replenish our funds for the future.

1)For general donations to Eugene IHS you can donate through the Eugene Education Foundation (EEF).  Donations can be made online at: www.eeflane.org. Be sure to designate EUGENE IHS. 2)Oregon Community Foundation IHS Alumni Fund: For donations towards the Eugene IHS Travel Scholarship, which we are able to provide due to a generous donation from alumnus Brian O’Kelley, Class of 1995, you can donate through the Oregon Community Foundation at: http://oregoncf.org. Once there click on “Support a Fund” to find out the different ways you can give back to Eugene IHS and who to contact, or you can call their Eugene office at (541)431-7099.   Over the last few years we have been able to award travel scholarships to students who probably would never otherwise be able to travel internationally. Past scholarship winners have traveled to Argentina, Peru, Spain, Bhutan, India, Guatemala, Mexico, Belize, Borneo, Singapore, Burma, Thailand, Tibet, Nepal, Germany, Poland, Switzerland, Cambodia, Vietnam, and Sri Lanka.

3)Directly to Eugene IHS Offices: You can always donate directly to any Eugene IHS Office.
